Draft Notification inviting ‘Expression of Interest’

to undertake study, validation and review of

APTRANSCO and DISCOM’s investment proposals

On a ‘free of cost basis’

APERC has issued Transmission licence to APTRANSCO and Distribution licences to four DISCOMs (APCPDCL, APEPDCL, APNPDCL and APSPDCL) in Andhra Pradesh. As per the conditions of these licences, the licensees are required to obtain prior approval of the Commission in respect of all capital investments exceeding Rupees five Crores.

Since the formation of the Commission, the Commission has approved a number of such investment proposals by the Transmission and Distribution licensees. It is proposed to undertake an academic study to validate and review the whole process of licensees’ Capital Investment life cycle based on study of a few of the completed schemes.

Invitation is hereby extended to all the interested parties to undertake the above study on a ‘free of cost’ basis and to share the findings with the Commission. Interested parties may communicate their willingness by addressing to the Commission Secretary before 31.07.2007.

The interested parties also need to give a brief background of their credentials, experience and available resources and timeframe.
